ADVENT MISSIONS

In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of their presence in the Diocese of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, Redemptorist Fathers celebrated Sunday Masses on November 29-20 and led Advent Missions in all the parishes on December 1-4.

Fr. Mark Owen, CSsR, led the mission at St. Patrick Church on St. Croix. Pictured above, he invited the youth to come forward for a blessing on the last night.

 

 

 

On the second night of the Advent Mission, St. Ann Church on St. Croix went from darkness to light as an introduction to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Pictured above are Fr. Kevin MacDonald, CSsR, with Deacon Arnold Helenese and Raphaela Albany.

Three priests led the missions at St. Joseph Church on St. Croix. Fr. Emmanuel Mullasscril, CSsR, led the English mission in the church while Fr. Sean McGillicuddy, CSsR, and Fr. Fr. Kenneth Gaddy, CSsR, led the English mission at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral on St. Thomas. Pictured above at the end of Sunday Mass, he offered a blessing to congregants celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.
