CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK 2009

Over 8,000 Catholic Schools in the United States, including the four Catholic schools in the Diocese of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, celebrated Catholic Schools Week 2009 on January 25-31. The 2009 theme was “Catholic Schools Celebrate Service.”


Students of Ss. Peter and Paul School on St. Thomas spoke and served at all Masses at all St. Thomas and St. John parishes on January 25-26. Pictured above, Most Rev. Herbert A. Twin Day was among the activities at St. Patrick School on St. Croix on January 27.




St. Mary School on St. Croix began Catholic Schools Week with Sunday Mass at Holy Cross Church on January 25. The school’s Choir of Angels ministered in song, directed by Sr. Antonieta Melancio, OP.
