100 DAYS OF SCHOOL



     The Pre-K4 students at St. Mary School on St. Croix were invited to bring a hundred of something to celebrate the 100th day of school on February 5.
     

PRACTICAL ASTRONOMY



Students in Br. James Petrait, O.S.F.S.'  Astronomy Class at St. Joseph High School on St. Croix tested the quadrants they constructed. These enabled them to measure sky angles and to find the height of the school’s crosspole.




AGRICULTURAL FAIR



Under the direction of teacher Ms. Barbara Troutman, students from St. Joseph High School on St. Croix made jam, shampoo and soap from the sorrel plant to exhibit at the Agricultural Fair on February 13-16.




SPELLING MASTERS




     A student from  St. Mary School on St. Croix won fourth place in the District Spelling Bee Contest at Alfredo Andrews Elementary School and another student won second place in the school contest and served as an alternate at the district level on February 20.


POETRY WINNERS



A panel of educators chose Krystal Ferris, Grade 11, and Dylan Heistand, Grade 9, to represent St. Joseph High School on St. Croix in a poetry contest which took place at the school on February 9.



SCHOLARSHIP WINNER



De Sales University in Pennsylvania awarded Jordan Paul, a senior at St. Joseph High School on St. Croix, a $20,000 Oblate of St. Francis de Sales Sponsored Scholarship on February 12.
