CHRISM MASS

This year's Chrism Mass moves
to St. Joseph Church on St. Croix on
Tuesday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m. At
that Holy Week celebration, Bishop
George Murry, SJ, will consecrate
the three holy oils that will be
bottled and distributed to all the
parishes of the diocese for
sacramental purposes. Also at that
celebration, all priests and deacons
serving in the diocese will renew

obedience to the bishop.

A tradition in the diocese, the
Chrism Mass alternates annually
between churches on St. Thomas

the front steps of Ss. Peter and Paul

cancelled the Sunday Vigil Mass
that evening. Parishioners are
encouraged to attend a Vigil Mass at
