FATHERS DAY IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS: HONORING AND ENCOURAGING THE MEN OF OUR COMMUNITIES

Peter and Paul Cathedral on St. Thomas, prayed the invocation and benediction at the Committee for the Betterment of Carenage's annual Fathers Day Celebration at Joseph Aubain Ball Park on June 15. Virgin Islands parishes acknowledged the fathers in their congregations on Fathers Day, June 17. The fathers received a pin, a flower or a prayer booklet. Pictured below, Very Rev. Neil Scantlebury, Rector of Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral on St. Thomas, is shown giving a carnation to the fathers at the end of Mass.

  

Four Catholic men were honored at the second annual Fathers Day luncheon sponsored by the St. Joseph Workers at Columban Hall on St. Thomas on June 17. Pictured below, Msgr. Jerome Feudjio, Pastor of Holy Family Church, gave a plaque to his parishioner, Allan Harrigan. The other honorees were Claudy Brutus and Fred Hintz of Holy Family Church and Benedict Regis of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on St. John.
