Students preparing for confirmation and their sponsors were introduced to the congregation at St. Ann Church on St. Croix and participated in an inscription service during Sunday Mass on September 16. After the homily, each candidate renewed his or her pledge of faithfulness, availability and service. The sponsors also made a promise of support.
Fr. Slawek Romanowski, CSsR, inspires children from Old Fredensborg and nearby projects in Good Shepherd Center's after-school program on St. Croix.
Fr. Slawek Romanowski, CSsR, Parochial Vicar at Holy Cross Church on St. Croix, blessed the children and the teachers on the first day of the after-school program at Good Shepherd Center. The program is designed to offer help with homework, to improve academic skills, to enhance computer literacy, and to increase socialization skills. The staff includes Angela Tambornini, Ann and Al Lang, Carmen Paraleticci, Sr. Noreen Sheedy, RGS, Sr. Victoria Andreoli, RGS, and Fr. Romanowski.
St. Joseph Church on St. Croix hosted a Fun Night on September 2, with music, dance and food. Over 500 people attended the Labor Day weekend event, including parishioners of neighboring churches. The festivities began at 6:00 p.m.and lasted until 2:00 a.m.
