HOLY DAYS OF OBLIGATION

Certain holy days do not carry the precept of attending Mass if they fall on a Monday, but others are always a holy day of obligation.

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary on Friday, December 8, is a holy day of obligation. Check with your local parish for additional Mass times.

Christmas this year falls on a Monday and remains a Holy Day of Obligation. This precept can be met by attending Mass on Sunday evening, December 24, or Monday morning, December 25. This is in addition to the Sunday obligation, which can be met on either Saturday, December 23, in the evening or Sunday, December 24, in the morning.

All parishes in the diocese will celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, with a vigil Mass on the evening of Sunday, December 31, and a Mass on Monday morning, January 1, although this year the feast is not a holy day of obligation.

BLESSING A SENATOR

Deacon Wilfredo Acosta blessed Senator Shawn-Michael Malone, a parishioner of Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral on St. Thomas, after Sunday Mass on November 19.
