MONTH OF THE ROSARY

The student body at St. Patrick School on St. Croix celebrated the Month of the Rosary by forming a circle and praying all the decades of the Rosary during a Monday morning assembly.

LEGACY AWARDS

St. Joseph High School on St.

Croix will have a 42nd Birthday Celebration and Annual Legacy Awards Presentation on campus on Friday, December 1, at 6:00 p.m. The Begraff, Byron, Sackey and Santos families will be honored in recognition of two or more generations graduating from the school. Tickets are $50.

SUMMER SCIENCE

Charlene Matthew, Vice-

President of the Pastoral Council at St. Patrick Church on St. Croix, is recruiting seventh grade students from all the Catholic schools in the territory for a summer science institute at Temple University in Philadelphia. The Physician Scientist Training Program provides minority students with intensive training in the biomedical and medical research fields from seventh grade through medical or graduate school. Students must have an A average and do well on stan­ dardized tests to qualify. Applications are now available at www.temple.edu/pstp. Two students from St. Mary School on St. Croix, Kiara Abramson and Julissa Schjang, were admitted into the program last year.

RED RIBBON WEEK PROMOTES DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION

Fifth graders at St. Patrick School on St. Croix used a stepping drill as part of their contribution for Red Ribbon Week, the annual national campaign against drugs and violence.
