HONOR STUDENTS

St. Patrick School on St. Croix held a room decorating contest during Red Ribbon Week, an annual national initiative to teach children about substance abuse. The first place winners were the second graders along with their teacher, Patricia Dass. Together they decorated their room with balloons to say "no" to drugs.

CARIBBEAN HISTORY

Students at St. Joseph High School on St. Croix were assigned a Research Day to commemorate D. Hamilton Jackson Day (Bull and Bread Day) on November 1. Although school was closed that day, all students were assigned to write a four-page research paper on the life of D. Hamilton Jackson.  Pictured above, teacher Wayne James explained the Research Day project to the students in one of his Caribbean History classes.

Students of Ss. Peter and Paul School on St. Thomas who won first and second honors in the first quarter proudly displayed their certificates at the alumni Mass at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral on St. Thomas on November 19.

Louis Jackson, a member of the St. Joseph High School Class of 1968, returns to his alma mater on Fridays after school to instruct twelve students in Martial Arts.
