Lee Willis, a Senior Project Engineer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), participated in a Fun Day at Ss. Peter and Paul School on St. Thomas on November 17. Students heard a talk and tried on parts of a space suit.
An eighth grader at St. Patrick School on St. Croix is a storyteller. The faculty at Alexander Henderson School invited her to display her dynamic skills before the student body as part of the school's Career Awareness Day program on November 15.
Professionals in banking, journalism, library services, marine biology, nursing and the National Guard spoke to the students at St. Joseph High School on St. Croix during American Education Week November 13-15. Julio Encarnacion, a senior at St. Joseph High School on St. Croix, was accepted into the Science Awareness Saturday Academy at the University of the Virgin Islands. The Academy is a hands-on enrichment activity that meets one Saturday per month during the academic year.
The Class of 2008 of Ss. Peter and Paul School on St. Thomas will host its Millennium Introductory Night at Palms Court Harbour View Hotel on Saturday, December 1, at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 - $10 for children.
Ss. Peter and Paul School on St. Thomas will have it Christmas program, "Celebrating His Presence with Presents," at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral on Sunday, December 9, at 3:00 p.m. St. Patrick School on St. Croix will have its Christmas program at St. Patrick Church on Sunday, December 16, at 3:00 p.m.
Ss. Peter and Paul School on St. Thomas hosts a concert featuring the St. Monica Church Choir from Kansas City at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral on Wednesday, January 23. The concert will be part of the events celebrating Catholic School Week.
